i just got back from iftar organised by UMNO Auckland. i felt the difference, in a good way of course. first, i could pray together with new people which i didn't really know before. second, i could meet Malaysian students here and i always try to get involved with any activity organised by the clubs. third, i ate nasi bukhari..oh, my god..it was fabulous. although it was so simple, the composition was fantastic.
yeaterday, i went to Avondale. not really Avondale. St. Lukes actually. me together with Izzati and Azmi wanted to find the plastics to make ketupat. we heard from the senior that Pak' and Save sells plastics that is suitable to make ketupat since the plastics i used to make ketupat the day before was melting like 'lover's heart'...hahahha. we planned to get there by bus but the fare is $ 4.40...train is just $4.00.. so, why not take the cheap one right? so, we decided to take a train. happened to be, the train service was free for yesterday because it was father's day. maybe because of that, 3 motorways were closed and bus services were stopped as well. so, city council provided free train service for everyone. Alhamdullilah, selamat duit. niat untuk bantu cohort, dipermudahkan oleh Allah
then, i was wandering around in Pak' and save. and as usual, i gone...half insane. everything was very very very cheap. Luckily izzati and me came together with Azmi. in a way, he controlled us from buying things that we didn't really need. well, guys are all the same...like my brothers, whenever i went out with them, they controlled things i should buy indirectly. for example, i wanna buy a dress but i have bought something else almost the same. cara diorang tak nak bagi aku beli, diorang kutuk apa yang aku nak beli tu kaw-kaw punya. so, aku tak jadi beli. yet, it's very practical and helpful when you're budgeting your expenses. like my condition NOW..oh, benci. but stil, semalam agak banyak beli.
masa aku duk cari barang dengan Azmi, Izzati duk tunggu troli sesorng. then, there was a guy greeted her and asked about hari raya. she was surprised. then, kitaorang sembang lah dengan uncle tu. diorag tanya kenapa datang sini, sebab sini tak banyak makanan halal yang kitaorng boleh beli. dia cakap ada area dekat Avondale yang semuanya halal.oh, btw this uncle is Indian. superb baik. siap nak hantar kitaorang pergi tempat tu. tapi macam tak selesa sebab baru je sampai. tak cari lagi plastik ketupatmasa tu. kitaorng just bersembang dengan panjang lebar. kadang-kadang uncle tu cakap melayu sikit. wow, amazing. his malay slang is still very good eve though he has been in New Zealand for 20 years something. tapi, kitaorang ada jumpa satu section untuk makanan halal dekat dalam tu. so, beli la daging dan kitaorang berbuka dengan bihun daging. Ya Allah, sedapnya..
