The effects of film on us

The roles of the films in society have been developed purposely as to educate and update the people about the latest trend or to inform people about something new. apart from that, the ideologies of the rulers could be transformed via specific films. this will help people to convey absolute persuasion of anything. you know what i mean right? so as a result, the understanding of the message could be spread to all. same goes to commercial films. in Malaysia alone, we have so many kind of films produced every year despite the ability of some of them to educate people or at least to provide positive values. does it good enough as to produce first class human capital? 

really, the question here is, does it good for our citizen?

we also need to consider the negative effects that some films offer. talking generally about film, local and international films come together with pros and cons. so it really depends on us to evaluate them.

few years back, i had my cousins staying with my family if their mother went to night shift.sometimes during day time. occasionally  i fetch them and my sisters from school. my mum was also working. so, i cooked and take care them. yeah, i was like their babysitter.lols. after they had their lunch, i let them did their homework or do whatever they wanted. my youngest cousin Ekin (sounds like a girl but he's a boy. his name is Muhammad Nur Syadiqin, we call him Ekin. hahahaa) was like 6 or 7 at that time.

while i was watching TV, i realised Ekin was gone. terus pergi cari dia. i was worried because he LOVES to try something strange. you could never imagine! cari dalam rumah takde. belakang rumah takde. terus keliling rumah, jumpa dia tepi rumah. guess what he did? HE FORCED A SPIDER TO BITE HIS NECK! dear lord, give me strength to stand still. hahaha. do you know what he was trying to do? ala, macam Peter dalam Spiderman tu, dia jadi Spiderman sebab ada mutant spider gigit leher dia, terus ada super power. so, this is the example of film impact on society specifically to this adventurous boy. 

i was like, oh my god. ekin, buat apa tu? dia terus lari naik rumah sebab takut kena marah. luckily this is Malaysia, not Australia where you could find Tarantula anywhere in the country. eh, ke ada kt desert je? jenis spider yang dia ambik ni bukan labah-labah rumah yang warna kelabu/coklat tapi labah-labah pokok yang warna kuning dan hitam tu. yang tu berbisa juga, i heard. tapi takde sampai boleh bawa maut dalam beberapa minit macam Tarantula. sebelum that spider was forced to bite his neck, aku rasa dia dah rejam labah-labah tu sampai lemah zahir dan batin kot. sebab spider tu tak merayap bagai atas badan dia.

bila teringat balik sambil cerita kat abang aku, mesti gelak besar. ntah ape la diorang ni fikir. yelah, jadi Spiderman cool pe. selamatkan orang. boleh terbang. perempuan cantik suka ;) 

Ekin yang baju warna hitam tu. elok la sangat. mata dah mata bola macam Tobey Maguire. nanti bila cousin aku dah jadi Spiderman betul, aku cerita kat korang. maybe Spiderman13. 

it may sounds funny. on the serious part of it, we have to be careful. ni baru terikut-ikut dengan filem super hero which not that serious. young children tend to follow and try what they see. or even worse, they want to be one. sounds ntah pape, but it is something for them. lately we got the news that a 13 years old boy was caught for his attempt to rape a woman in the toilet. pathetic, because he's very young to know about all this stuff. do you think it comes naturally from his bare 13 years old imagination?i don't think so. memang pengaruh filem dan persekitaran. he should't be acting like that for real. where the heck he knows about that? his passion? i'm totally puzzled.  

here, i'm begging all of you, yes, all of you to take this issue seriously. this is essential for us as elders, parents, teachers and concern citizen to stop young children to witness/watch violence, pornography, or offence in films. they cannot digest the input wisely. it effects their minds and our society as a whole.
