iftar at Pt Chevalier

breaking fast at Pt Chevalier was great. got to feel like breaking fast at home, in your own community. it's just once a week iftar held by Singaporean Malay. when we arrived there, we could hear the chatting all over the room. because it's a weekly iftar, so everyone take the opportunity to talk to each other, updating each others' life and so on. Most of them were Singaporean except for us Malaysian, and some other Whites. there were so many kids. see, i told you. it's really like masjid at our home town. they made noise while we were praying. the feeling was great! miss all those days at my home town so badly. got to hear Singaporean English accent everywhere in the room. ' Dad, i want nasi'. 'Dont put your kaki on the chair' and blablabla. That is how they speak. they speak English but at the same time their Malay is still very good. the kids were eating furiously after one whole day of fasting. they looked funny. dan memandangkan ni Singaporean punya komunity, ada la ternampak stok-stok Imran Ajmain dan Aaron Aziz. serious tak tipu. bukan ushar pun just ternampak*lowering gaze mode*.lagi pun muka standartd semua macam tu je. muka baik.

some of them married to Whites but they are really good Muslim i should say. they dont take religion as granted. they understand/embrace Islam with their heart. after teraweh, one of the Whites gave tazrikrah. i was amazed with his explanation of 5 pillars of Islam. he revert to Islam because he said he found what he's looking for in his life. how he supported his points with lines of surah in the Al-Quran, reciting it without refering to Al-Quran. he even remember hadith. how amazing for those who revert to Islam could do this because not all Muslim can do that even we are muslim since we were born. the first pillar of Islam is Syahadah. he explain about Syahadah in understandable manner. he said that all of us including him say Syahadah, admitting that there's no God except Allah and Muhammad is his messenger. but how much we impliment this in our life. we admit that Allah is the one we supposed to worship to. however, we still put another things beside Him. if that so, our heart is not solely for him yet. it's very complicated to say what i got last night here because it only could be understood if you open your heart. it sound like a normal speech but it not a surface thing. in simplest words, tak cukup beriman lagi kita kalau tak settle lagi pemahaman terhadap Syahdah itu sendiri.diorng boleh faham agama dengan sangat mendalam kerana diorng mengkaji dan kenapa tidak kita. seruan ini juga untuk diri sendiri yang sedang bercakap. semoga ramadhan ini dapat mendidik jiwa kita supaya lebih memahami agama kita sendiri. Thanks Allah for giving me the opportunity to see all the things that is rarely seen in Malaysia.
Insyaallah we are in the second tens of Ramadhan. fasa keampunan. pohon la keampunan dengan sebenar-sebenarnya. sesungguhnya Allah maha pengampuan.
