assalamualaikum
last year, while i was wandering around, choosing cheese at Countdown, i was approached by a guy. he suddenly asked.a: are you Malaysian?
me: yes. why?
a: i'm from Iran. are you muslim?
me: yea, i'm muslim. obvioiusly .hahaha ( i thought i'm definitely muslim because i wear scarf, but necessarily actually)
a: i'm muslim too. are you syiah, sunni, conservative or protestant ( not sure about the last one)
me: ( in my mind: oh my god, this a serious issue to talk about at the shopping centre and i have no idea about it because we dont such thing in Malaysia). erk, i don't know. but i'm not syiah for sure. we dont have such things in Malaysia. we are all muslim. we don't have sunni, syiah and all.
a: really?
me: yeah, everybody is Islam by heart and we are not divided by any sort of group.
p/s: i just emailed Sydney Malaysia hall our booking form . it takes me ages to construct two formal Malay sentences. and i feel bad about it. haruslah kan. last sekali tulis karangan masa form five which was last 5 years. perkataan seperti 'namun begitu, harap maaf'..wow, terkeluar habis ayat macam tu tadi dengan housemates. jom tengok ayat selepas brain storm perkataan-perkatan power. gitu.
well, it's my own weakness. i'm not good at writing, either in Malay or English. i'm really bad at spelling as well.

till then, our discussion changed to another topics. he asked me how long i have been here. then, i asked him. and later i asked him permission to proceed to my business. what a relief. it's not that i didn't like talking to him. he's really nice guy. it's just that i don't know what to respond to his question. mencabar mental. and i'm not ready for that kind of question. i told about this to one of our seniors. she advised me not to answer that kind of question because that kind of question is actually can trigger fight and easiness among us.
in Malaysia context, in a way, we are divided by political view. politics is never be my interest of discussion. so, for this time, i'm not talking on any behalf of the political party. setuju tak kita sebenarnya berpuak based on political view? maybe sometimes tak obvious. but at my place, it's pretty obvious. siap ada ni masjid orang UMNO, ni masjid orang PAS. kenapa boleh jadi macam tu? tuhan orang UMNO lain, tuhan orang PAS lain,macam tu erk?
tapi sebenarnya situasi di Malaysia agak berbeza dengan apa yang berlaku dekat timur tengah. diorng berkaitan dengan agama, akidah. kita more to politik. tapi harap nya jangan sampai terus menghukum orang yang sokong parti ni masuk neraka. siapa kita nak judge orang.. jom, saya ajak anda berfikir. masuk syurga nya kita atas redha Allah, bukan sebab kita masuk parti mana-mana. saya nampak bias ke? saya bukan bermaksud begitu, tapi cuba berfikir secara logik.

kt Malaysia mane ada.kita ni islam yang sebenar. ikut ahli sunnah wajamaah..puak2 macam diorng ni sebenarnya menyebakan perpecahan puak..sebab tu selalu perang saudara.
